Background Info: This is set in my friend Jessie’s AU of Alchemist Twins. In a separate world Tommy and Billy are Thomas and William, alchemy twins with a family history made of legends. They’re under pressure to continue the legacy, while travelling on quests with their pet Skrull, Dorrek. Skrulls are used in rings like cock fights. (Although, as time goes on Billy and eventually Tommy see Dorrek as more human and even give him a human name, Theodore.)
Nate is a blacksmith that often helps the Lady Cassandra, who is rather like Robin Hood and deals with bandits. Avengers are a type of Royal/Noble guard and I think the X-men are nobility if memory serves me correct. The Nate/Tommy came out of the SongMeme linked, and as it was short but a bigger story to be told, this came about.
There’s a lot more headcanon but as it doesn’t relate to this fic, I’ll leave it be.Jess, I’m sure, will write about it in the future, it was amazing to share this with her and come up with more ideas. I had a ton of fun writing this for her and it’s been over a few months that I’ve done it. (We all get busy!) If you have any more questions, ask her, or read the fics already up. I may write for this verse more in the future but for now, read on!

Then they could leave this town and keep moving. Tommy sighed, drifting out the door of the Inn. Outside he used the pump to wash and shave his face clean, smooth. Water dripped down his chest as he stretched, letting it dry in the hot sun. He’d scored both himself and his twin invitations to the feast the next evening. Charming miss Cassandra wouldn’t be too hard. Then he would have the map and all would be well. Eyes gazed over the fields and he felt a sharp pain in his chest. That looked like… No. It couldn’t be. It wasn’t… The figure in the distance had turned and Tommy quickly walked back inside.
